ERD – Extended Range Diver

During this course you will learn to independently plan and perform dives while using various mixtures of breathing gases for breathing at the bottom or during decompression, with the greatest allowed depth of 50m and an unlimited number of breathing mixtures and time of decompression. You will learn how to minimize the risk associated with purposefully targeted dives. With optimal use of your equipment, SafeAir and Oxygen you will be able to safely complete even the most demanding dives.

 

Theoretical knowledge:

  • Designated technical diving equipment
  • Gas planning and management
  • Gas physics and physiology
  • Computer programs use
  • Advanced physiology and decompression

 

Practical exercises:

  • Handling additional cylinders, line reels, lift bags and other devices
  • Dive planning with the use of decompression software
  • Emergency procedures and stress management
  • Four (4) dives with two different Nitrox mixtures

 

Course duration:

4 days

  • Theory: 6-8 hours
  • Exercises and open water dives: 6-8 hours

 

Candidate prerequisites:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must hold a TSD certificate or an equivalent Nitrox certificate
  • At least 100 logged dives, including 20 to the depth greater than 30 metres
  • Recommended knowledge on the use of a dry suit
  • Completed medical statement (or a medical certificate not older than one year)
  • Completed liability release and assumption of risk form

Not included in the price:

  • Transport to locations, equipment rental, cylinder re-fills

 

 

 

Enrolment is only accepted after prepayment/deposit. In the case of unauthorized absence from the course, there is no return of the deposit.
