CSU – Complete SafeAir User

During this course you will gain basic knowledge and experience to perform dives safely with various SafeAir breathing mixtures from 22% to 50%. You will get to know the advantages brought about by breathing Oxygen enriched Air and the limitations we must consider, when breathing such mixtures. You will also get to know specified equipment for blending, analyzing and marking and labeling equipment for using Oxygen enriched Air/SafeAir. You will learn how to determine the best breathing mix (BestMix) for a specified depth or to determine maximum operating depth (MOD), at which a specific breathing mixture can still be used safely.

Theoretical knowledge:

  • History and evolution of SafeAir
  • SafeAir effects on human body
  • Mathematical basics

You can attend the CSU course as a part of the Advanced Open Water Divers course. The depth limit of the CSU certificate is 40m or depending on the breathing mixture (22%-50%) used. SafeAir dives/practical exercises can be completed at any time in one year from the beginning of the course. It is recommended for both required certification dives to be performed on the same day.  Enrolment is only accepted after prepayment/deposit. In the case of unauthorized absence from the course, there is no return of the deposit.
